Henny Penny

Our Book of the Week is the traditional story, Henny Penny. Which one of the characters in the story are we pretending to be?

Matariki

On Friday the Junior classes celebrated Matariki.
We could wear sky colours to school. Ruby wore a sparkly skirt and Paige wore a starry top.
We went to each class and made something different. In Room 1 we made a kite. In Room 2 we made a harakiki bookmark and in Room 3 we made a poi. It was awesome fun making all these things.
At lunchtime we had a shared lunch.
We finished the day by planting an apple tree in the school garden.
We hope we celebrate Matariki at school next year.

Queen's Birthday Weekend Stories

Samoaotearoa wrote a lovely story about her weekend.

Bee Day

At the end of Term 1 the junior classes has a BEE DAY to end our study on Innovative Bees. We all had great fun dressing  up in yellow and black. Lunchtime was fun too. We all bought along food that started with B for a shared lunch and in the afternoon we watched The Bee Movie.
