St Anne's Feast Day
Yesterday it was St Anne's Feast Day. We had the best day. We dressed up in green and red because St Anne wore red and green. Some children had red and green food in their lunchbox. Red is the colour for love and green is the colour for rebirth.

Newsletter
Room 2 Newsletter Term 3 2017
Dear Parents,
We are halfway through the year already! I hope you were able to enjoy some of the many activities that were available for children in the holidays. I am looking forward to hearing about what they got up to.
Here is what this term is going to look like:
Topic: Healthy Eating and Living
Sexuality. There will be more information about this in a future newsletter.
RE: Finishing Sacrament strand about our baptism
Jesus :Jesus showed his love in Different Ways.
Then we will begin the Church strand ;Gathering , Celebrating, Living God’s Presence.
Information about these strands and supporting prayers will be in the Prayer bag so look out for these. This term each child will take home the RE book to share with you also.
English: Writing and oral language- Persuasive texts and topics
Oral language: Poetry recitation - More about this later.
Better Start. This is a programme that supports reading, writing and spelling. Most of the class will be
involved in this. A weekly newsletter will come home which will provide more information. Look for this
today.
The Arts: Music and Kapahaka
PE: Youth Town and PMP. We are always looking for support with the PMP programme. I am sure your child
will be able to tell you how much they enjoy it.
I apologise for the lack of posts on our blog last term. The aim is to have regular postings this term. Check it out: stannes102.blogspot.co.nz
Thank you for all your support.
