Our Christmas Play

Today we performed the christmas play for the other classes at school in the morning and for our parents, grandparents and friends in the afternoon.
Tillie had the role of being the inn keeper and she was a terrific leading lady. Our readers Charlotte and Josh kept everyone informed about the story of Jesus' birthday - they read clearly and beautifully.
All of the other characters, singers and actors alike were just great.
To see all of the photos of our play go to stannes101blogspot but Mrs Grant took a photo of us all in our costumes this morning.

The Impossible Bridge

Orange group have been reading a book called "The Impossible Bridge".
The children in the story had to make a bridge using only one piece of A4 paper and there could only be one cut of the paper at the most. Then the bridge had to support a toy car so we decided to give it a try too.

Tillie and Eliza were successful and they built a second bridge just the same as at the back of their reading book to see if it really did work.

Our Postie Boy

Austin and Denise delivered a very special envelope last Friday.
"Denise and I walked down the road to Woolston to post Room 2's Christmas letter to Santa."said Austin.
We hope that Santa writes a letter back to us here at school.
